    Absolutely business leaders should update and manage their own profiles! If defeats the whole notion of getting to know the person behind the name!! How can you connect with your customers and be social when you’re not doing it yourself?

    I believe customers can tell if it’s you or some marketing techie doing it for you especially if you are a smaller business.

      @Barbara – great comment, and a valid point. Personality is key in social media, and people like to know that its worth their time to chat to leaders.
