The Twitter VS Instagram Debacle

It was just another day on Twitter, when Instagram users noticed that their hipster-cool photos were buggy and on the fritz. Now, no more Instagram photos will be allowed on Twitter – ever, ever again. Is that true? What’s up?

SMMU Theories on This Bold Twitter Move

• It’s no secret that Twitter is becoming bolder than usual, and it’s developing its own photo filter app that will be used on the site. Much like Facebook has Instagram now, Twitter will launch a competitor, and they really want users to use their option over the incredibly popular Facebook option. In theory a good move, but I’m not sure if I’d bet against an app like Instagram.

• Twitter is a little bit sore about the fact that Facebook outbid them to GET Instagram several months ago – $1 billion was a hard bid to beat. At the time, both companies knew that the future of social relied on image communication. Twitter also blocked Instagram users from using its data to find friends.

• The Twitter creators are in the process of launching and developing 2 new concepts – Medium and Branch. Both will use images as a central part of the attraction of the core concepts. It has to be planning ahead by Twitter.

• Twitter itself is becoming a massive photo sharing site, with people attaching images to their tweets. The potential is huge for expansion…if only they had a great photo app.

• Essentially Instagram wants people to interact with images on their app and on Facebook, and Twitter wants the same for their upcoming editing software.

Word on The Street and on #Twitter

The internet has its own opinions as we all well know – and people are FURIOUS about Twitters sudden Instagram ‘ban.’ Users can still tweet about their Instagram photos, but they can’t view them on Twitter anymore. It really messes with people’s profiles. Imagine if Instagram photos are the core of your business, and now that’s over.

Many, many people shared their opinions on Twitter:

@hipsterrunoff – I feel bad 4 all those ppl who wasted time integrating their #instagrambrand with their Twitter brand. *Retweeted 82 times.

@christiankoo – Why mess with a good thing? I don’t get it. #instagram

@marcorubio – What? We can’t #instagram on #twitter anymore? The world no longer makes any sense!

@Cinemaduo – So goodbye #Instagram hello #twitter photo filters. Just FYI a good photo stands alone without any filter

How Do I Get Around The Twitter Ban?

Twitter users are ‘getting around’ the Instagram ban by using Michael Schonfeld’s Chrome-based InstaTwit extension. With some clever URL jiggery-pockery this extension ignores the new ban, and allows you to post Instagram URLs and images – all day long if you like.

Will Twitter’s answer to Instagram be any good? We’ll find out and let you know!

The A-Z of How To Podcast

I often get asked how businesses can boost their blog readership without having to go through the expense and camera trauma involved in being a Youtube star. The answer is always the same – learn how to podcast!

A podcast is a simple audio clip that you can record at the office or in the comfort of your own home. All it takes is a bit of podcasting software that you can download free online, and a basic podcast script.

• Download a free sound recorder – Camtasia or Audacity
• Choose an appropriate file format (mp3 is the best)
• Create a basic album cover in Photoshop to promote your podcast

Okay so that’s how to podcast. That in no way details how to create an excellent podcasting strategy that you’ll use to grow your blog readership! That’s step 2.

Your Podcasting Strategy

Learning how to podcast means figuring out what sort of audio ‘show’ your readers would love. What do they need? How can you present this information in a fun, interactive way? Should there be more than one person speaking on the podcast?

Begin with a title: “How to Podcast Like a Pro”
Length: 2 minutes
Description: 2 Social Media Experts Talking About Podcast Creation
Featuring: Stats, Jokes
Goal: To educate your reader as part of a bi-weekly blog series

This outline will help you flesh out the structure of your podcasting strategy. When putting together “How to Podcast Like a Pro” these are the details you’ll give to a professional script writer or blogger, if you’re getting it done by an expert. Writing audio scripts is challenging, so this may be something you want to consider.

If there’s one tip I can give you about learning how to podcast, it’s that practice makes perfect. You’ll have to be careful about your tones, and the way you form your words – and you’ll need to practice getting into the ‘dynamic voice’ character.

There’s a reason why radio station hosts always sound like they’re drinking Red Bull! You have to know how to podcast that will affect your ‘listeners’ so that they come back for more. Gaining podcast listeners is much more simple than blogging, especially if you have an angle or show that you do weekly.

How To Podcast For Traffic

To build traffic your podcasts need to be popular. You can put them on popular podcasting sites to funnel traffic to your blog – like PodOmatic, Podbean, iPodder and Podcastalley. You can also use Pinterest to promote your podcasts by uploading your album images there.

On Facebook, how to podcast is equally as basic – just pop your URL in a status update to attract new listeners and traffic from there. Don’t forget your album covers there as well! Create full blog posts that promote your podcasts, and make it a feature on your blog!

Today, I’m going to give you 10 great branding tips that will help your business, going into 2013.

#1: Your Competitor Brand Files

I once knew a marketer who took screenshots of his top 10 competitor blogs at the beginning of every year. At the end of each year, he would break out the social media rebranding files and review them. Then – he would outdo them.

#2: Core Message Updates

If your business has drifted into new markets or changed direction, your branding could be off. Social media rebranding is about expressing your core message. If yours isn’t on point, it’s time for a design shift.

#3: Social Media Rebranding Assets

At the end of every year, review your online assets. Assets can include URL’s, account names, domain ownership, images, videos and total worth. If you’re missing some – get them. For example – no Pinterest account? Secure yours right now.

#4: Twitter Page Refresh

Social media rebranding applies to your Twitter page as well – so review it. Then compare it with other pages in your niche. Any trends, useful design tricks or graphics that you like? At the end of this year, your brand needs a shiny new Twitter background.

#5: Facebook Page Refresh

Facebook pages should be refreshed every 3 months, so if you haven’t done any social media rebranding there for a while, do it. A new profile pic and cover page can go a long way for your brand. It says – ‘we’re always moving forward.’

#6: Youtube Video Social Media Rebranding

Youtube is changing, so gear up for the change by freshening up your Youtube brand page. Count how many views you’ve received and chart out goals for January. Then start fresh with a funky new look and feel that will attract attention and more subscribers.

#7: LinkedIn Copy Refresh

LinkedIn isn’t about images, it’s about copy. Redo yours! Research better keywords and create new, interesting and punchy copy for your profile. Social media rebranding is more than design, it’s about strategy as well.

#8: Inexpensive Graphics Packages

If you’re trying to keep costs low, great news! November-December is a great time to cash-in on social media rebranding specials from tech and design companies. Template sites offer a lot of great image packages that you can use to revamp your look.

#9: Newsletter Recharge

Your newsletter is the one social media rebranding tool that you can’t skimp on this year. Find new templates to use or get one designed for your company – your subscribers will love the way you’re always looking to add value to their experience.

#10: Website Rebrand

Websites can be pricey to rebrand every year, so look at updating it instead. Social media rebranding includes your website and blog! Add new plugins, update your social media plugins, add an app or just redo your header.

Social media rebranding lets your customers know that you’re always on the cusp of the latest design and tech trends. That’s good for business!

How Do You See Youtube’s New Design Changes?

Many frequent Youtubers have noticed a lot of glitches and issues on the site as of late. There was an incident a few weeks ago when Youtube even crashed for a while, causing global pandemonium. Now, Youtube’s new design is being tested and chatted about in the secret tech spaces on the internet.

If your computer stores Youtube cookies, you’re still seeing the old Youtube. But if you clear these cookies, you might get the new interface. If you use Chrome, get to the developers console by pressing Ctrl+Shift+J, while on a fresh Youtube tab.

Paste in the following code: document.cookie=”VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=jZNC3DCddAk; path=/; domain=.youtube.com”;window.location.reload();

Then press enter, and there you go – Youtube’s new design. It looks like this:

What SMMU Thinks of Youtube’s New Design Tinkering

At a glance you can see that Google has removed the awesome beige and charcoal homepage interface, and has instead replaced it with their horrible all white interface, the very same so many people disliked on Google+.

I’ve got to tell you, Youtube’s new design is not looking great. The functionality and navigation has improved though. Here’s how:

• You can switch between a ‘now playing’ and ‘recommended’ screen

The recommended videos are based on videos that you’ve watched before, whether you were logged in or not. This creeps me out a little, but it actually takes me further into Youtube’s new design than I’d go on a normal day, because of the suggestions.

• Longer scroll down homepage, showing many categories

You’ll have access to your favorite categories, like News & Politics, Entertainment, ABC News and Movies. A great feature is how many people have already watched these suggested category videos at a glance in Youtube’s new design.

• Larger video showcases, doing away with the ‘thumbnail’ sized videos

When they last updated Youtube’s new design – a big issue was the tiny video windows that fans hated. There was a lot of backlash about them. Luckily, Google has made the video ‘thumbnails’ a lot larger, which is easier on the eye. A great update!

• Video titles are now displayed at the bottom of Youtube videos

The least favorite change to Youtube’s new design has to be that titles are now below the actual videos. It’s a strange change, and we’ll have to wait and see if this contributes to even more view and financial losses to Youtube ad businesses.

• Improved sharing and commenting capabilities

Youtube’s new design also includes a way to add a timestamp when you share videos, and a one click option to record video responses.

And (should I say finally?) the commenting section appears more like the Disqus commenting system, which is really nice for social connectivity and reducing spam. People can add in their personal image thumbnails to go with their comments.

youtube comments after secret layout 271x300 Exposing Youtube’s New Design Changes: What’s Coming

Courtesy of readwrite.com

• There are new playlist features that are less intrusive

Youtube has removed the bottom playlist bar and instead popped it on the right of the video, so that we can actually see it now, while watching the video. This will be great for virality, and it pushes the irritating ad to below the streaming playlist.

Our verdict on Youtube’s new design? Unsurprisingly, the functionality is a lot better, and it’s sure to make viewing multiple videos easier. As for the all-encompassing white design – I just don’t see it being popular. It wasn’t on Google+, and it’s only going to infuriate Youtube fans. But nothing is set in stone – they are still working on it!

Navigating and Using Facebook Insights

It can be daunting for any small business to review their own analytics data. It’s nice to see that people are responding to your page – but what do you do with this information? More to the point – how do you use this information to get even more response from your fans?

Total Likes

The total amount of likes on your page is an important metric. The higher the number – the more chances you have of reaching people.

Tip! Part of your analytics strategy should be to increase your total likes!

Friends of Fans

The ‘friends of fans’ metric tells you how many people you could reach through your total likes. In other words, these are the friends of your fans who may see your posts.

Tip! You’ll want to improve your friends of fans metric to extend your reach!

People Talking About This

Your ‘people talking about this’ metric just lets you know when people are engaging with your brand. It could be anything, from liking, to commenting, sharing or checking-in. It’s a decent metric to know about, as it improves your Edgerank score between certain people.

Weekly Total Reach

Weekly total reach is really a good metric to know about. That’s because it tells you how many people have actually SEEN your content. Yes, they could have scrolled past it, or not looked at it directly – but it was there – which means they could have been exposed to your message.

Tip! It’s a great idea to try and extend your reach in any way that you can.

Total Subscribes

This metric simply tells you how many outside parties are subscribing to your page.

People Saw This Post

A number will appear detailing how many people ‘saw’ your post – again it is simply telling you how many people could have seen it. It’s a start – if you increase this number only good things can happen in your business.

Overview Page

Okay, so how do you actually take all of this information and make it useful? Take a look inside your overview section. Scroll to the bottom and you’ll see a list of your posts and how popular each one was. Organize these into hierarchies.

If you don’t yet – have at least 5 ‘easy to identify’ post types that you can test. Find out which ones test the best, and try to repeat that formula. Give your Facebook fans what they want!

Likes Page

Use your likes page to check on your demographics. What is the age of your fans? Who of these are men, or women? Who is interacting more? How can you get them to respond more often? How can you get more response out of the age groups that aren’t responding?

Answer these questions and test some gender, age and location based posts.

Reach

Check on how many page views you get in the ‘reach’ section. See which days you got the increase in page views. Come up with a strategy to increase your page views. Test different things and track the progress using certain days as markers.

Use these tips to put together a mini analytics strategy to steadily improve your fan count, reach and popularity on Facebook!

Which Facebook metric do you think is the most important of all? I’d like to hear your opinion!

Courtesy of abc.net.au

A Brief History of Newsweek

Newsweek, the incredibly popular tongue-in-cheek world news magazine, was founded in 1933 by Thomas JC Martin. Back then, you could buy a year’s subscription to the magazine for only $4. Since then, it was bought by the Washington Post and now has some 4 million readers across America. At least, that’s what it had until recently.

In 2005, Newsweek took a massive blow to their readership, dropping to 1.5 million readers. Needless to say advertising also took a knock, and plummeted by 80%. Newsweek was experiencing annual losses of around $40 million dollars.

The State of The Print Industry

There have been marked issues in the print industry since mobile and tablet technology became the prime source of news for people all over the world. That coupled with the rapid rise of social media technology and there is a direct correlation between the two. As social media grows, print shrinks.

It’s interesting that smartphone sales nearly doubled in 2005, and that Facebook was already rocketing to fame by then. Other magazines all over the world have been experiencing drops in their readership. Why buy a magazine when you can get your news as it happens, on your mobile social platform for free?

The print industry is in trouble. State of The Media recently reported that the top 25 magazines in America were all in a perpetual decline. Scanning this list, some magazines have lost as much as half of their readership in one shocking year. Clearly Newsweek is leading the way in the ‘new’ print industry – digital publishing.

Newsweek and Digital Publishing

As of the end of December 2012, Newsweek will become a digital publication only, called ‘Newsweek Global.’ To get it will require a paid subscription. In 2010, in an attempt to stabilize, Newsweek merged with ‘The Daily Beast’ website. Tina Brown, the Editor of Newsweek said that now, print economics just don’t make sense anymore.

Newsweek banner 300x168 After 79 Years in Print, Newsweek Quits To Go Digital

Courtesy of media.rawsignal.com

I think it’s about time a large magazine deferred to digital media. If they want to maintain and even grow their readerships, then it’s clear that the only way to do this is by adopting the digital media platform.

Unfortunately there will be casualties – as with any large change in a leading industry. Tina has also warned that there will be layoffs because of the transition.

“Newsweek is produced by a gifted and tireless team of professionals who have been offering brilliant work consistently throughout a tough period of ownership transition and media disruption. Regrettably we anticipate staff reductions and the streamlining of our editorial and business operations both here in the U.S. and internationally.”

That end bit is a little bit of a concern. Perhaps Newsweek plans on outsourcing a lot of their writing, admin work and other media jobs to freelance workers overseas. They’re a lot cheaper, and the US government provides a tax break for hiring outsourced staff.

Whatever their next move, I think they’re doing the right thing and that many other magazines will soon be following suit. We support you Newsweek!

How do you feel about the Newsweek change, and the ailing print industry? Tell us about it here.

Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest are going to have to expand their own mobile capabilities, if they’re going to survive the desktop to mobile crossover. Today I’m going to talk about how mobile technology is influencing social platforms.

mobile apps 2 300x162 The Impact of Mobile Technology on Social Media Platforms: What’s Coming?

The Growth of Mobile Technology

Mobile advancement has become a giant in the technology field, since apps were invented and Steve Jobs launched his iPhone, iPad, iPod series. I recently read that most of the world actually prefers using the internet on their mobile devices than seated at a computer.

It makes sense, our lives are getting busier! But it’s more than that – in many areas of the world there are no computers, or people can’t afford them. Anyone, anywhere can afford a smartphone these days. That’s the internet, when and where you need it.

If I had to bet on it, I’d say that mobile has only just started – there’s so much more ahead of us. If you take a look at current trends in technology, you begin to see that smartphones can get a lot smarter! Just look at the advancements they’re making in augmented reality on mobile devices – it’s astounding.

In case you don’t know, augmented reality is what you call those projected images that you can interact with. In the near future, we’ll have smartphones that can project full size keyboards out for us and more.

Social Media Platforms and Mobile

Imagine the incredible things you could do with social media and something like augmented reality! It would essentially change our 2D mobile and social landscape into a 3D interactive experience. Shopping, chatting, sharing, watching videos – even file transference – would be drastically changed, and vastly improved.

I’d say we’re probably about 5 or so years away from this technology boost, 10 years at the most. In the meantime, there will be many other ways mobile changes social. For example, there will be advancements in QR code technology – and people will be able to interact with the external world via digital means.

The Impact of Mobile Technology on Social Media Platforms: What’s Coming?

The Future of Mobile Social

If you take a look at how social platforms are evolving (simplicity, highly personal and customizable) these advancements will only be enhanced by modern mobile technology. People are spending more and more time online, connected to their networks. This will eventually become a permanent thing.

Mobile devices will ensure that we get news, seconds after it happens. That we never miss another friends birthday, or special occasion. That we are able to share in the experiences of our friends, family and associates on a micro level.

Platforms like Twitter, Pinterest and – increasingly – Facebook, were built to thrive on the mobile phone. There’s a reason for that! While we’ll always have our main center of operations (our desktops) the social mobile will become a part of us. That’s why Google is developing that progressive augmented reality technology in glasses!

How do you think mobile technology will affect platforms like Facebook and Twitter in the future? Leave your opinion here!

Social Media After You Die

It’s sad, but even after you die, your social media presence lives on. People invest so much time and effort into their social profiles these days, they’re like a living reminder of the person who passed. But social media is fast becoming an excellent outlet for people that have lost someone and are grieving.

A Facebook group dedicated to the deceased, along with how they died – makes for a great place to spread the word about their death, and to keep people updated on funeral details. I have a few people in my life that have passed, and there is one Facebook group in particular, where people still post their condolences, kind words and pictures after 3 years.

So there’s no doubt in my mind that social media has evolved into a vital part of the grieving process for friends and family.

What Happens To Your Accounts Once You’re Gone?

Facebook: When someone passes on Facebook, you can send a note to the Facebook admin to take down their page, or to keep it in a ‘memorial’ state. Because Facebook is like a public diary, many family members don’t want it to be deleted.

Twitter: You can contact the Twitter admin and request that they take down the user account that won’t be used anymore. If you don’t want to close your loved one’s Twitter page, there are other options I’ll let you in on below.

Flickr: Unfortunately, for the friends and family of Flickr users, they won’t release any private photos from their site, if a user passes. The account will remain live and in public for the most part.

Isn’t There a Better Way of Handling This?

The answer is yes. Savvy business people have seen that there is a growing need to safely leave someone your digital information (passwords and logins) after you’ve died. There are several great sites out there today that you can use to ensure that your social profile is handed over to a friend or family member.

One of these sites, Legacy Locker, allows you to protect these online assets of yours for a small fee. If you only want to give someone 3 accounts, then it’s free. You can also check out Entrustet, My Webwill and Assetlock.

If you want to leave your friends and family members a final message from beyond the grave, then you can sign up to ‘Greatgoodbye’ a service that will send one final email to everyone on your list, after your death. Details of your account should go to a trusted source.

These are just some of the ways people are dealing with death on social platforms. Have you heard of any others? Tell me about them here!

Today, we talk about this law, and others like it – and how valid they are on a platform like the internet. Should the Google exec go to jail? Who decides?

The Brazil VS Google Debacle

Campo Grande is a nice little city in Brazil. They are hosting mayoral elections at the moment. Youtube videos recently surfaced that Brazil claims ‘goes against’ their pre-vote election laws.

The Brazilian courts were so furious, they’ve demanded that Google remove these heinous videos, and have called for a nation-wide suspension on these two enormously popular internet sites.

I can see how the potential mayor of Campo Grande might not like Youtube videos circulating that may sway votes. But isn’t that what free speech is about? Brazil is a progressive country – surely they’ve read the Youtube responsibility clauses?

In case you don’t know – because Youtube is ‘run’ by third-parties, and consists of user generated content, legally, Youtube is NOT responsible for anything posted there. Google is appealing this (ridiculous) ruling, and has done it in good spirits.

What’s The Point of The Responsibility Clause?

What I want to know, is why the leagues of Google lawyers haven’t made the responsibility clause ironclad yet, on an international level. I guess it’s because on a global scale – there is no real authority to govern what goes and what doesn’t.

Google should have learned from their previous scuffle with a European nation (Italy) which almost saw 4 Google executives go to prison for not taking Youtube videos down that infringed on privacy laws. Clearly being a Google exec has its downsides.

Until free speech is as progressive in Europe as it is in America, these clashes are bound to happen. Google and Youtube even have a set of specific standards and rules that govern how people should use Youtube. While this is sometimes ignored, these videos are removed quickly by the Youtube team.

I don’t know why these issues are becoming contentious. If I was Google, I wouldn’t bother defending my executives in court. They did nothing wrong. Just take down the videos that the country in question is having a fit over, and remind the foreign court about their legal rights as an American company.

The Issues At Hand

Clearly the issues here go beyond court ruling, copyright infringement and videos that violate election voting laws. This is an issue of who owns the user content. In an increasingly user-generated internet – the companies behind the platforms can’t be expected to take the financial and legal burden caused by random users.

It seems to me that Google is going to have to head up the fight for free speech on the internet in the years to come. Until the world governments have some sort of unified regulatory policy for online content, Google is exposed.

Do you think Brazil has the right to sue Google? I’d like to hear your opinion on this hot topic!

When you launch a WordPress blog for the first time, having the right SEO is a core concern. Without it, you’re not going to sell much of anything. Let’s see if Siddharth covers all of the bases.

#1: Provide Immense Value

Siddharth mentions giving your readers a REASON to return to your blog, which I agree with 100%. Too often, a sales website forgets to fulfill that one single need. A friend of mine popped a small branded app game on his site, and his traffic boomed. It’s a reason for people to come back no matter how small, and that translates into money.

The second tip here was to steer clear of duplicate content. This should be a given, its on-page SEO 101. If you don’t know about Google Panda or Penguin, check them out here.

#2: Use a Quality Theme

Blogger Siddharth warns his readers against using cheap or free themes. I have to agree, once again. To add a little more to what Siddharth is saying, free themes are dangerous for SEO, and in a few other ways to. Sometimes spammers embed backdoors in free themes that they use to break into your site later on, once you start getting real traffic.

You could spend months, and thousands of dollars hiring people to remove this spam – but it NEVER stops coming back. If you don’t know how the spammer is hacking your site, you can’t stop it. It’s a costly lesson to learn! I’m also a big fan of the Themeforest guys.

#3: Configure Permalinks

Siddharth’s advice is to add in /%postname%/ in the ‘custom structure’ field, once you’ve clicked on the permalinks setting. Personally, I’ve installed many WordPress themes, and this knowledge is so widely known, that themes come ready-made with this detail added in.

The prompt to include it is relevant, though if you’ve bought yourself a quality theme, it will already have that field marked with the /%postname%/ script.

#4: Keyword Research

Tip number four by Siddharth is to conduct proper keyword research. On the whole, the advice is sound – though a touch outdated. I keep keyword densities below 2% as a rule, but don’t assign much weight to the H tags. Sure, the H1 tag still carries some pull, but as for the others, Google and the other search engines are caring less and less about subtitles.

It seems as long as there are keywords, spaced well in your post – that’s what counts. By all means use your H tags, but don’t stress too much about which ones to use.

#5 – #7: Alt Tags, Deep Links and Graphics

It’s true, all of these used properly will improve your on-page SEO.

#8: Use Keywordluv

I’m always skeptical of these ‘reward’ plugins that help you with your SEO. While I’m not disputing that Keywordluv works (it does) when used correctly, I’ve had a few experiences where that very plugin has exposed my content to spammers. The added SEO ‘boost’ attracts commenters to your blog, that don’t have anything much to say. They just want that customized anchor text. Be careful of that!

#9-#12: Plugins, Do Follow, Social Signals and Popular Posts

Agreed!

#13: Backlinks From Other Websites

I agree with Siddharth, except I have a warning when it comes to ‘rabid backlink posting.’ The speed at which you build your link networks are counting for MORE these days. If you suddenly have 1000 new backlinks one month (from fake link building) Google will penalize you. The same goes for backlinking on poor quality sites. Don’t do it!

Google judges you based on the quality of your link networks. If you’ve linked to a content farm or a poor quality ad site, you’re in trouble!

#14: Blog Commenting

Absolutely correct, user generated SEO on your blog by your readers via commenting is vital to the health of your long term SEO strategy.

#15 and #16: Use SEO Pressor Plugin

If you’ve spent the necessary time learning what is required of you for on-page SEO, then buying plugins that do it for you are unnecessary. In fact, I’ve used several of these and they can be downright irritating – especially when they begin to sacrifice style for SEO. I believe any good blogger can do these things on their own.

#17-#19: Social Bookmarking, Backlinks, RSS Feeds

More of Siddharth’s sound advice.

#20: Put Yourself in The Reader’s Shoes

I agree with the above statement, and want to add ‘but don’t lose your own writing flavor.’ I’ve met many bloggers that don’t stick to conventional online writing norms and yet have legions of readers. If you tend to blather on about something, of course shorten it. If that blathering makes your writing something special – keep it.
